Used to etch enamel and/or dentin, allowing for greater and better retention of resin materials. Its adequate viscosity and the presence of colorant allow for safe application, without the risk of runoff, and better visualization of the area to be etched. Recommended for full (dentin and enamel) or partial (enamel) acid etching, providing greater and better retention of resin materials used in direct restorations, orthodontic bracket fixation, adhesive cementation of indirect restorations, and pit and fissure sealing.
