Simple Sterile Colostomy Bag, Closed System

Indication:

Colostomy bags are indicated for collecting feces. They are used to collect fecal waste from the end of the intestine, which exits separately from the rectum (usually on the side at abdominal level).

Description:

The colostomy bag is made of non-toxic, transparent polyethylene (PE) plastic. It features pre-cut holes measuring 20 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, and 60 mm, and a non-drainable (closed) closure system. With a waste storage capacity of 300 ml, the bag measures 220 x 150 mm and features a special, skin-adherent, and completely hypoallergenic adhesive on the outside. This adhesive allows the bag to be attached to the patient, following their movements and adjusting to the contours of the skin. It provides effective protection for the skin around the ostomy, minimizing the risk of irritation caused by secretions. The bags are packaged in packs of 10 and can be non-sterile or sterile, individually wrapped in surgical-grade paper sterilized with ethylene oxide (ETO) gas. They contain a field in the center for identification and patient data management.

Instructions for Use:

To use the colostomy pouch, you need to measure the diameter of the ostomy. If the adhesive hole doesn't fit correctly, check the ostomy for the correct size. Make sure the ostomy and peristomal skin are clean and dry before applying the adhesive. Then, remove the protective film from the adhesive with both hands in a single motion. Position the adhesive hole over the ostomy and press the adhesive onto the skin with your fingers, working from the inside out. Check that adhesion has occurred in all skin folds and that the pouch is properly attached to the ostomy. To remove the adhesive, use one hand to peel it off from top to bottom while carefully holding the skin taut with the other.
