Gel Thermal Pack for Shoulders

It has an ideal shape for use in the shoulder and neck region. The pack can be used both cold and hot, is reusable and does not freeze. It can be cooled in the freezer and heated in the microwave (always immersed in water) or in hot water. The product perfectly molds to the body and is non-toxic.

Indication:

It is a resource that provides therapeutic cold and heat applications, indicated for the treatment of injuries, inflammatory processes, fevers, pain caused by stress or poor posture, and to promote muscle relaxation.

How to Use:

  • Cold Pack (Cryotherapy)-Cold application is recommended for the first 48 hours after an injury occurs. Muscle injuries (sprains, bruises, strains), fever, hematomas, hemorrhages, edema, acute pain (head/tooth), inflammatory processes, post-operative plastic surgery, facial surgery, burns, and insect bites. Place the pack in the freezer for at least two and a half hours. After this period, remove it and place it in a cover, or wrap it in a towel, applying it to the desired area.
  • Hot Pack (Thermotherapy)-Heat application is recommended after 48 hours of injury occurrence. Muscle injuries (sprains, bruises, strains, contractures, stiff neck), back pain (low back pain, neck pain), rheumatic pain, muscle stress, cramps, chronic and acute pain, inflammatory processes (abscesses, localized lesions), and earaches.
  • Heating in hot water: boil water, turn off the heat, and submerge the pack, keeping it submerged for 10 minutes. Remove the pack from the water (without using sharp objects) and place it in a cover or wrap it in a towel, then apply it to the desired area.
  • Heating in the microwave: submerge the pack in a microwave-safe container with water. Heat for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Remove and test before use. If necessary, heat again for another 15 seconds. Distribute the heat before applying, as heating may not be uniform. Then, place it in a cover or wrap it in a towel, applying it to the desired area.

The application of this product is recommended for approximately 20 minutes or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Care and Conservation

  • Improper use of the pack can cause burns;
  • For your safety, always use a towel between the pack and your eyes. Never apply directly to the skin;
  • Do not apply excessive pressure to the eye area;
  • For heat application, use the pack at a temperature that is comfortable to your touch (lukewarm). Check if the temperature is adequate by applying the pack first to your forearm.
  • Check for holes or tears in the product before use. If found, discard it.
  • Observe the pack while it is being heated. If it begins to expand, immediately turn off the microwave or remove it from hot water.
  • Never heat the pack in the microwave without completely covering it with water.
  • Do not use sharp objects to handle the pack.
  • People with heat or cold sensitivity, or with circulatory problems, should consult a doctor before applying the product.
  • Do not use the product for more than 20 consecutive minutes.
  • The gel is non-toxic, however, in case of rupture, do not ingest it. If the gel comes into contact with the skin, wash with soap and water. If it comes into contact with the eyes, rinse them with plenty of water and consult an ophthalmologist.
  • Keep the product in the freezer when not in use to ensure immediate cold. For heat application, wait a few minutes before starting the heating process.
  • Avoid direct contact of the product with the freezer walls, as it may stick and tear when removed.
  • The pack should not be kept for long periods in hot water. Constant and prolonged heating can reduce its resistance, favoring rupture.
  • To clean, use cold water and mild soap or alcohol.
