Improved Double Mirrored Neubauer Chamber
Code: 7301-18
They are used to count cells or other particles in suspension, under a microscope.
- Sample readings are taken using a counting network (quadrants) located at the central base of the chambers.
- The chamber depth is 0.1mm.
- In the microscopic image, at the lowest magnification, 9 large areas of 1mm² are seen.
- The four large angular areas (L) are subdivided into 16 areas measuring 0.25 mm on each side. They are used for leukocyte counting.
- The large central area is subdivided into 25 square groups of 0.2 mm on each side.
- Each group consists of 16 mini-areas with 0.05 mm sides, each area being 0.0025 mm².
- The 5 groups marked (E) are used for erythrocyte counting.
- It is observed that all areas have a triple border on each side.
- The center line is the boundary and determines whether a cell should be included in the count or not.
Differential (Improved Mirrored Double):
- Made of special optical glass;
- The camera base is rhodium-plated, and the counting grid (quadrant) is engraved into the coating. This allows the counting grid to appear as bright or dark lines, due to changes in contrast, making it easier to see the elements.
- Includes two slides, individually packaged in a plastic box;
Approximate dimensions and weights:
- Dimensions (LxWxH): (7.5 x 3.2 x 0.35) cm.
Weight: 120g
