M-Tec Foam Hydrocolloid Dressing acts as a primary/secondary dressing. When in contact with a wound, M-Tec Foam Hydrocolloid Dressing provides optimal conditions for healing. It establishes a semi-occlusive, moist environment on ulcers while absorbing low to moderate levels of wound exudate.
Exudate is transported to the hydrocolloid dressing and also through the outer breathable foam layer. By absorbing wound exudate, the hydrocolloid forms a smooth, integral gel that aids autolytic debridement and increases the dressing's overall fluid-handling capacity, while ensuring moisture levels within the wound are regulated. A moist wound environment prevents the wound from drying out and is necessary for optimal wound healing. Maintaining a moist wound environment also allows for intact dressing removal from the wound without damaging newly growing tissue.

Indication:

• Partial and full thickness dermal ulcers;
