Gracey curettes are specific periodontal instruments designed for scaling and root planing.

The most common models and their indications are:

• Gracey 1-2 and 3-4: Indicated for incisors and canines (anterior teeth).
  
• Gracey 5-6: Indicated for all surfaces of anterior teeth and premolars.
  
• Gracey 7-8 and 9-10: Recommended for the buccal and lingual surfaces (front and back) of posterior teeth.
  
• Gracey 11-12: Specifically designed for the mesial surface (facing the middle of the arch) of posterior teeth.
