Threaded Expander - KOPP | Bone Compaction and Implantology Instrument
KOPP Threaded Expanders are surgical instruments used in bone compaction and expansion procedures to optimize the recipient site for osseointegrated implants. They are indicated for cases where the available bone volume or density requires prior conditioning, and in certain clinical situations, they can eliminate the need for bone grafting.
Clinical indications:
- Bone compaction to improve the implant placement site
- Expansion of narrow alveolar ridges
- Maxillary sinus lift (condensation technique)
- Condensation of remaining bone tissue in areas of low density
Differentiating features:
- Made of special stainless steel — high strength and durability
- Autoclavable — safely reusable
- Threaded design — precise control of depth and insertion force
- Can reduce the need for bone grafting in selected cases
