Description:

Technofio's Chromated Catgut suture is an absorbable, sterile animal-derived suture composed of purified connective tissue (primarily collagen) or the fibrous submucosal layer of bovine intestine. Chromated catgut contains a solution of chromic salts to delay absorption and is dyed with pyrogallol. Chromated catgut is packaged in a softening solution of 89.5% isopropyl alcohol (PA), 1.0% diaethanolamine (PA), 0.25% sodium benzoate (USP pharmaceutical grade), and 100% sterile water for injection (QSP). The product meets the specifications established by ABNT NBR 13904 (Surgical Suture Threads), the Brazilian Pharmacopoeia, and the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) for Surgical Sutures.
