Description:
It is an intracanal medication composed of 100% pure calcium hydroxide in powder form. In endodontic practice, it is indicated in various situations, both in cases of live pulp and necrotic pulp, with or without apical periodontitis, and as a pulp capping material in accidental pulp exposure and pulpotomies. It also promotes periapical repair with the deposition of mineralized tissue.

Advantages:

• Indicated as an intracanal dressing material.
• When stimulated to form reparative dentin, consequently increasing its thickness, it provides greater protection to the pulp tissue.
