Protec micronebulizers were developed for nebulization, generated by the passage of oxygen or medical compressed air, facilitating the absorption of medications transported by the gas flow, carrying the particles to the airways. Operation requires a gas source (oxygen or medical compressed air), using a gas network pressure of 3.5 kgf/cm² and flow control with a flowmeter.

They are commonly found in Emergency Rooms, ICUs, Ambulances, Home Care, Post-Anesthesia Recovery and other hospital units.

Inhalation promotes humidification of the respiratory tract and when administered with oxygen, it promotes enrichment of the gas inhaled by the patient, thus improving their oxygenation and absorption of the medication.
