In Ozoncare Ozonated Sunflower Oil, the active ingredients resulting from the ozonation process are hydroperoxides and other lipid peroxidation products that have nonspecific germicidal properties and act satisfactorily on the healing and tissue regeneration processes. One of the main and best-known mechanisms of action of ozone is related to its highly oxidative activity, making it a potentially biocidal agent, acting against fungi, bacteria, and viruses.

The higher the peroxide value, the lower the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC). For antimicrobial activity, the peroxide value must be around 600 meq/kg.

Clinical studies have also demonstrated its potential effect in various situations, such as: difficulty in healing, mycoses, ulcers, osteomyelitis, post-anorectal surgery, herpes, etc. This is due to the slow and gradual release of oxygen.
