Description:
Spherical diamond burs are primarily used for initial access to carious lesions, cervical grooves in indirect preparations, and endodontic access. Smaller-diameter burs are indicated for minimally invasive cavity preparations in composite resin or glass ionomer cement, especially in Class I and III cavities. They can also be used to determine additional retention in amalgam and indirect metal-based cavities. Medium-diameter burs are useful for defining cervical guidance grooves in dental preparations for full crowns or veneers. They also define conservative proximal cavity preparations in a teardrop shape. Large-caliber spherical burs can be used for coronal opening and removal of the pulp chamber roof.
KG SORENSEN diamond tips are produced in high-resistance stainless steel and with natural diamond grains of controlled dimensions.
