Description:

Spherical diamond burs are primarily used for initial access to carious lesions, cervical grooves in indirect preparations, and endodontic access. Smaller diameter burs are indicated for minimally invasive cavity preparations with composite resin or glass ionomer cement, especially in Class I and III cavities. They can also be used to create additional retention in cavities for amalgam and metal-based indirect restorations. Medium-diameter burs are useful for defining cervical guide grooves in dental preparations for full crowns or veneers. They define conservative proximal cavity preparations in a teardrop shape. Large-caliber spherical burs can be used for coronal openings and removal of the pulp chamber roof.

KG SORENSEN diamond burs are manufactured from high-strength stainless steel and use natural diamond grains of controlled dimensions.
