Long Nasogastric Tube
It is inserted through the mouth or nose into the stomach or intestines when, for some reason, the patient cannot use their mouth in the digestive process. It is used to administer medications and food directly into the gastrointestinal tract and to perform gastric lavage. Short nasogastric tubes are inserted into the stomach, and long nasogastric tubes are inserted into the intestinal tract. They are connected to a feeding set , which is connected to the feeding bottle, or the tubes can be connected to a syringe.
