Description :

VOXILON AN is a product that is at the forefront of the high-level sanitizing category. Its active ingredient is peracetic acid combined with stabilizers, resulting in a ready-to-use product with no toxic or aggressive effects on the user. Its formulation is resistant to organic matter and is not inactivated, thus maintaining the active ingredient at the required concentration throughout the entire period of use.

VOXILON AN works by oxidizing the cellular structure necessary for the survival of bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores, eliminating them and preventing the emergence of resistant forms, thus eliminating the need for rotation of sanitizers.

It can be applied through nebulization systems or by immersion. When used neat, it disinfects critical items and equipment in 10 minutes and has proven action against Bacillus subtilis (ATCC 19659) and Clostridium sporogenes (ATCC 3584) in 5 minutes.

In addition to being bactericidal, VOXILON AN is also fungicidal and sporicidal. It is environmentally compatible and does not generate toxic residues when used, leaving only oxygen and water after concentration. It is non-flammable and does not degrade synthetic materials such as PVC, latex, acrylics, paints, etc.

The concentration of peracetic acid during the use of VOXILON AN can be measured using the Thech-Test, which is a strip for semi-quantitative analysis of the active ingredient content with direct reading, thus facilitating operational quality control routines and reducing laboratory work time.

It is also safely indicated for specifying endoscopes, colonoscopes, and similar devices, being fully compatible with these devices. The product is not toxic or corrosive by oral, inhalation or dermal route, only slightly irritating to the eyes according to specific tests, being classified as category 2B according to NBR 14725-2.

Suggested usage protocol for the dentistry field:

Peracetic acid, the main component of Voxilon®, is characterized by rapid action against all microorganisms, including bacterial spores. Its formulation is fully biodegradable and non-toxic, and it is effective in the presence of organic matter (helping to remove blood residues stuck to instruments).

Use of Voxilon® for disinfection:

The effective time as a highly biocidal disinfectant is 10 minutes of contact time. The solution in use has a shelf life of up to 40 days. Peracetic acid concentration can be monitored daily with a dedicated test strip around day 33. If the solution changes color, it should be discarded.
For privacy, place the solution in a plastic container with a lid in a volume that allows for complete inspection of the items to be disinfected. The items should be clean and dry. After 10 minutes, remove and rinse under running water or dry with paper towels, a clean compress, or an oven. Disinfected items should be stored in a designated location, clean, and protected from dust.
Examples of items that can be disinfected in this way: orthodontic pliers, orthodontic wires, spatulas, plastic pressers, elastic chains, elastic ligature bands (cane type).
Note: Use pliers with a glass tip, as these oxidize faster. Therefore, only disinfect them (5 minutes).
Voxilon® can also be used to disinfect or sterilize diamond burs and endodontic files.
Note: Carbide type drills, as these oxidize faster. Therefore, only perform confirmation (5 minutes in addition).
High-level disinfection after surgery: Immerse all items for 10 minutes before washing and autoclaving them. Note: Do not leave items immersed for more than 1 hour to prevent oxidation.
